Join the TFA Writing & Research Team
For those who prefer uncovering the hidden stories of the past over leading public walks, joining the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture’s Writing and Research Team offers a vital way to support the organization's mission. This specialized group allows volunteers to opt out of public speaking requirements while still engaging deeply with Tulsa’s architectural heritage. By contributing essential materials and historical narratives, this team provides the scholarly backbone for TFA’s signature tours and exhibitions.
Members of the Research Team handle a variety of detail-oriented tasks to preserve and share Tulsa's history:
Documenting Narratives: Uncovering and documenting the unique architectural history of prominent Tulsa buildings and residences.
Developing Tour Content: Creating the essential materials and storytelling narratives that docents use to lead engaging walking tours.
Archival Research: Utilizing TFA’s extensive collection of architectural drawings, blueprints, and periodicals to gain knowledge of the city's built environment.
