TFA DESIGN INSIDER: Wiemann Metalcraft

Thursday, June 26, 2026

$20 | $15 | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Through their masterful metal creations, Wiemann Metalcraft has contributed to the architectural landscape throughout Tulsa, including the Thomas Gilcrease Home gazebo and fence, Philbrook gates, the University of Tulsa bell tower.

In 1940, Ernest Wiemann built a small blacksmithing and metal fabrication shop that was a regional provider of ornamental metalwork including fencing, gates, stairways, garden accents, fireplace screens, and custom pieces. Today, Wiemann Metalcraft, located in West Tulsa, occupies over 60,000 square feet of production space making it Oklahoma’s largest blacksmithing shop. They continue to create custom ornamental and architectural works for customers around the world.

On this special Design Insider, guests will hear from current President Doug Bracken, graduate of the University of Southern California School of Architecture, who will share the history and indelible footprint of Wiemann Metalcraft. Then, guests have the opportunity to participate in hands-on forging demonstration alongside the company’s skilled artisans.
